About The RoleWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager – Protein (Bacon) to join our Commercial Team here at Forza Foods. This is an exciting time to be joining IPL, Forza & Kober as we support Asda on their journey to becoming #2 in the marketplace.
Shift Pattern - Monday - Friday - 08:00am - 17:00pm - Hybrid working available with this role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
•Buying of direct and in direct frozen protein (Bacon), managing costs, contracts and supplier relationships. Develop a competitive supplier base for Asda, ensuring volume commitments are formalized via Contracts.
•Maintain a rolling 52 week forecast, adhering to business stock holding targets and KPIs ensure accuracy in determining contracted volumes and stock flow for Asda, aligned to in stock and inbound KPI targets.
•Work closely with Asda Supply Chain colleagues to manage and align the weekly forecasts; monitor orders, as well as availability and waste. Identify sales opportunities as well as potential issues and corrective actions.
•Responsible for ensuring all paperwork is correct including setting up new lines with Asda, checking pack weights and barcodes and sign off of packaging and artwork.
•Manage the Stock Inventory Planner, ensuring all Purchase Orders are raised correctly in line with agreed Contracts. Ensure any contract price changes are aligned with Asda and implemented two weeks in advance.
•Work collaboratively with the NPD Manager, collating costings and supporting sampling for presentation to the Asda team.
What are we looking for?
•Must have experience of working within a Protein category, Bacon would be desirable but not essential.
•FMCG background in Retail, Procurement and/or Supply Chain.
•Organised approach with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
•IT literate, proficient in Excel and other Microsoft packages.
•Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
•Strong presentation skills and stakeholder management skills.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, suppliers and customers at all levels.
