Typical projects are Social Housing maintenance (Kitchen & Bathroom upgrades, External refurb) and refurbishment, and retro fit upgrades/de-carbonisation contracts across the private and public sectors. The company has a healthy pipeline of work and offer excellent career progression and development.Commercial Manager/Head of Commercial - The Role:A fantastic opportunity for an experienced commercial Manager within the Property Servicers sector to lead the commercial function of the South West and Wales business unit (£50m T/O) You will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of a live projects via Quantity Surveying teams, reporting to the Managing Director.Typical duties & responsibilities:
* Identify areas to strengthen commercial processes across a variety of contracts (response, voids, planned & projects)
* Review and scrutinse contract CVRs to ensure accuracy and identify areas to improve performance
* Review key contracts at tender stage and upon award to identify risks and opportunities
* Ensure subcontractor management process is being followed
* WIP monitoring and management, ensuring that invoices are accurate and being issued on time
* Debt monitoring and management, ensuring cash is collected on timeCommercial Manager/Head of Commercial - The Person
* You will have solid experience with either a national or regional main contractor
* You MUST have experience within the Social Housing mainenance sector(Kitchen & Bathroom upgrades, Planned works, External works etc)
* Demonstrable experience of delivering commercial aspects of construction projects within budget and programme
* Experience managing Quantity Surveyors
* Experience managing business units in excess of £25m
* Innovative - ability to identify better ways of doing things
