Commercial Manager – Civil Engineering – Warrington – up to £85k + Package
This is a prime opportunity to join a blue-chip, multi-discipline contractor with an outstanding reputation in the industry.
They are enjoying repeat business growth in the North West and are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager from the local area to grow with them through the expansion predicted over the forthcoming years. You would join as a Commercial Lead to initially work on a new tender and PCSA. The Commercial Lead will take full commercial responsibility and ownership for the project.
Whilst they have many business units, this is working for the civil engineering business unit and consists primarily of local authority and local framework projects. These can range anywhere up to £50m in value and consist of public realm, town centre regenerations, bus lanes, major infrastructure, new bridges and the like.
The role is to oversee one or two sites from ECI through to completion. You will be responsible for negotiating contract terms, managing the client relationship, recruiting and managing commercial staff to work on live projects, managing risk and reward, checking and presenting financial figures to the board, managing disputes and helping to bring in more work.
All contracts will be under NEC3/4 so as Commercial Manager for this region, you must be confident and experienced with the use of this suite of contracts. You will have led a Commercial Team in either the delivery of a portfolio of projects and/or led the delivery of a very large major project
In return, the salary is up to £85k depending on experience, a generous car allowance/car, private healthcare, discretionary bonus, generous pension and 26 days holiday with the ability to buy or sell. The role can also be performed on a hybrid basis working between the office, the sites and home.
