We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Commercial Manager/ Senior Quantity Surveyor in Orpington - Time 4 Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of the UK`s largest maintenance and service contractors.  working a very well establish and highly reputable client who offers their services to hundreds of thousands of properties across the UK.   





As Permanent Commercial Manager/ Senior Quantity Surveyor – you will be primarily based at their office in Orpington – London -   You will be responsible for the budget and keep on top of all the costs involved in large-scale construction projects. You will source the services and resources needed, negotiating costs with other suppliers , it's your job to identify and develop better business opportunities for improved growth. Your duties include maintaining client relationships, analysing current strategies, and developing improved action plans.



You must have Strong Leadership, Communication and teamwork Customer engagement. You will use your judgement and decision making. Employee development. Full UK driving licence A successful Commercial Manager/ Senior Quantity Surveyor will possess good knowledge of the industry and a wide range of local contacts. 





Responsibilities as Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor. 

•    Oversee and support other Quantity Surveyors within the Commercial Team. 

•    You MUST have Subcontractor experience.

•    You must assume direct responsibility for your own project including tender assessment and revise terms and conditions, and commercial strategy.

•    Be able to manage the preparation and submission of internal and external valuations.

•    Be able to submit final accounts plus monthly reports and budges.

•    You will also manage the change management process including negotiations with the client.

•    Tender Commercial review

•    Agree areas and work scope.

•    Relevant experience of working on NEC contracts

•    Be able to work with people at all levels and be an excellent team player.

•    Direct contact with clients, sub-contractors & suppliers

•    Appointment and co-ordination of other sub-contracts

•    To attend meetings and undertake site visits.

•    Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships.

•    Understand quantity surveying and site measurement, together the first principles of the Contract.

•    Provide advice and mentoring to other members of the team.

•    5 years plus experience in a similar role.

•    Recognised, relevant qualification.

•    Competitive salary £60k - £70k depending on experience.
