Commercial ManagerSalary Negotiable (depending on experience)Key tasks and responsibilities include:Working as a Commercial Manager as part of a close team reporting to the Managing Director whilst providing a cost consulting role to clientsEnsure the client achieves their stated objectives through close teamwork, proactive cost control and the provision of contractual adviceAttend and/or chair meetings with clientsPrepare financial reportsMonitor the communication of a project statusPreparing full tender documentation for multiple projectsProvide advice on contractors, specialists, procurement routes, cost and programme solutionsProvide advice on suitability and preparation of contract documentsPrepare management reportsMonitor performance milestones and deliverablesAdminister cost/variation proceduresCarry out full post contract surveying duties including establishing the effect of variations, settlement of accounts and disputesProvide day-to-day cost management of projects from estimate preparation through to final account settlementsProvide mentorship and advice to junior members of staff within the officeDesired qualifications and experience for Commercial Manager:A relevant degree or masters qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar equivalent subject10 years Quantity Surveying/cost consulting/ managingExperience of working on projects in the build environment is desired i.e. commercial, residential, education, healthcare etc.Expert Trade Knowledge / construction knowledge specifically to groundworks, carpentry and General Building.Excellent knowledge of common forms of contract such as JCT and NECExperience in managing adjudication processesRICs accreditationDemonstrable experience of carrying out tendering and procurement processesFamiliar with working on multiple projects concurrentlyStrong client facing skillsJob Types: Permanent, Full-timePay: From £65,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Chelmsford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Education:Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)Experience:Quantity Surveying: 10 years (required)Licence/Certification:Driving Licence (required)JBRP1_UKTJ
