Job Description
The Green Recruitment Company are excited to be partnering with an International
Cleantech Start-up
, who operate an award-winning SaaS Simulation platform that provides bespoke solutions to design, manage, & optimise clean energy projects.
Having now received additional funding for their ongoing expansion, our client is looking to grow their London office through the addition of an established
Commercial Manager
in UK/EU clean energy markets (Smart grid, Cleantech, BESS etc.).
As they continue to support an ever-growing list of global partners in their decarbonisation strategies, this is an excellent time for a commercial specialist join and create new partnerships with energy suppliers, asset owners, & cleantech consultancies – ultimately playing a vital role in their UK & European growth!
The Role:
As the first dedicated UK commercial hire, the person’s aim is to generate new business opportunities with UK & European Clean Energy markets through their existing & growing network.
Key responsibilities include:
Qualifying & growing a pipeline of prospective opportunities- predominantly with energy suppliers, asset owners, & cleantech consultancies.
Demonstrate how their cutting-edge software can support client/prospect investments in the energy transition (battery storage, renewable energy, or e-mobility).
Act as an internal ambassador for customers and prospects, creating account development plans & sharing customer feedback with the product team.
Attending events to grow our client’s brand as well as your own
Manage contracting & onboarding processes.
Contribute to and maintain go-to-market strategies & processes.
Job Requirements:
This role requires a confident individual with a strong commercial mindset.
4+ years’ experience in UK or EU energy markets - ideally surrounding Smart grid/Microgrid/DER technologies (BESS, EV Infra, EV fleet etc.).
4+ years’ experience in commercial manager role (or similar).
Commercial experience surrounding software/SaaS products.
Proven ability to nurture strong relationships with clients.
Ideally has success in scale-up environments.
