Our commercial team at Framatome in the UK is growing!
Following two very recent placements and a few more roles to post we have the opportunity for an additional Commercial Manager. Within this role you would begin your career assigned to our joint venture with EDF called EDVANCE.
You would be supporting our the engineering design contract for the nuclear new build (Hinkley Point C) and all the contractual, financial and commercial factors associated with your assigned group of suppliers.
In addition with a close working relationship with the contract team in France, the role will functionally report to France with an equally important relationship with the PMO team in the UK and UK based Business Manager.
The key contractual elements for this opportunity include:

Communication and relationship management will be critical in this position as your key stakeholders will include the:
HPC site-based leadership team;
Aztec West-based leadership team;
contract management team;
PMO
leadership team of specific projects and when appropriate EDVANCE’s legal and other support entities, including with the French Edvance entity. You are Main responsibilities
Your day to day will include, but not be limited to, tasks like:
Budget management with regular reporting and client feedback updates
Management, coordination, negotiation, and implementation of bespoke procurement contracts covering specific areas not served by the EDVANCE standard framework supply side contracts
Development and implementation of commercial strategies to respond to the changing needs of the teams in Aztec West and on site as well as other entities.
Coordinate with Change, Cost, Risk and Schedule teams to ensure coherent and consistent project progress
Planning, preparation, and negotiation of offers as part of an offer team.
Implementation of all commercial and financial governance requirements.
Individual Attributes
Some of the core attributes we anticipate in high calibre candidates for this position include:
Effective commercial / contract management skills, with clear knowledge of best practice contract methodologies
Able to demonstrate a considerable track record of administering successful contracts
Highly developed commercial skills and demonstrable ability to make sound decisions on matters of significant financial value
Good understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management
Track record with most common Forms of Contract (NEC & FIDIC) within the power construction industry and major projects and programme environment.
