Here at EMIS we’re looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance team on a permanent basis.Reporting to our Head of Finance – Projects, you will be a key member of the commercial finance team working closely with our sales, commercial and operational teams.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a varied commercial finance role as primarily you will provide financial and commercial support on bids & tenders, contracts and pricing for our framework related contracts. The role will also support other ad-hoc commercial appraisal and corporate projects as and when required as well as providing support to the rest of the finance team in supporting with non BAU requests that arise during busy periods such as month end.This role is split between working in our Leeds office one day a week and the rest from home.If you are a Commercial Accountant or commercially minded Management Accountant looking to move to a commercially focused role and want to work within an organisation with a truly collaborative culture then apply today!What you’ll doThis is a dynamic end-to-end commercial finance role where you will be responsible for providing proactive finance support to our operations, commercial and sales teams through our bids & tenders, contracting and pricing processes.As a Commercial Finance Manager, you will engage and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including provision of
revenue/profitability
analysis, sensitivity analysis and identification of financial risks and opportunities to help drive positive outcomes in these areas.Other key responsibilities and accountabilities will include;Contract and Framework Reviews, understand and comment on the contract financial terms, including risks around for example invoicing, payment, liabilities & penaltiesSupport the end-to-end review of various finance business processes and suggest
improvements/efficiencies. Preparation of various commercial appraisals.Support on ad-hoc corporate projectsWho You’ll Be:You will be an experienced finance professional who is either a qualified accountant or part qualified at the later stages. With a commercial mindset, you will have an inquisitive nature when reviewing data or contracts.Collaboration and building trusted relationships within EMIS is key, you will have exposure to partnering with non-financial colleagues whilst providing forecasting or detailed financial modelling reports.We are fast paced, so the ability to work with competing demands and in a changing environment is key.Other skills and experience we are looking for you to demonstrate include;Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture where appropriate.Commercial finance experience with a detailed knowledge of pricing strategies and contractingExperience or knowledge of performing commercial appraisalsExcellent Excel skills including experience of complex modellingQualified accountant (ACMA/ACA/ACCA) or part qualified (later stages)Our Vision and Your ImpactOur vision is to be the leading provider of innovative healthcare technology that improves people’s lives.
