Job DescriptionOverviewWincanton is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join the Group Transport division.Reporting into the Senior Commercial Finance Manager, this is a broad role supporting several key stakeholders both internally and externally. Working on our largest grocery contract, this customer facing role will lead the financial recognition of our contractual charters ensuring robust financial challenge and providing insightful accurate management information.This role supports the BAU finance teams reporting and budget cycles. Delivering insight and analysis across new strategic initiatives, driving projects forwards to improve performance and effectiveness.In addition to overseeing successful delivery of the current contract the role will have a large focus on ensuring sustainable but ambitious growth within the relevant market sectors. Spotting opportunities to maximise our commercial performance.This is a home based, Monday to Friday role. Candidates will need to be based in the Midlands or South of the UK.How will you contributeInfluence and challenge internal stakeholders including Operational and Group Finance teams, building strong relationships across the business.Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and interpretation of the operations on a weekly and periodic basis.Lead and manage the delivery of the strategic initiative's annual budgets and periodic customer forecasts.Develop strong relationships with the customer - both operationally and within the finance function.Support contractual negotiations for renewals and new business.Inspire non-financial managers to develop strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the budget and key cost drivers.Develop models and reporting to drive performance through an enhanced understanding of the internal and external commercial and financial drivers.Partner with the business to embed meaningful management information to support the development of opportunities and growth.Reporting and monitoring of key performance indicators to support service delivery and contractual commitments.Ensure adherence to contractual commitments and deliverables.What will you bring?A fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)Demonstrate drive, energy and a commitment to the continuous improvement of overall contract performance.Be proactive, inquisitive with a passion for challenging teams to drive performance.Be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.Must be flexible and respond positively and accurately to internal and external customer requests.Excellent customer relationship skills with the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels.Have excellent PC skills and be able to understand and harness IT and systems to benefit the operation.Be able to demonstrate previous relevant experience.Able to travel across sites as required.What do we offer?In addition to a generous salary, we really value our people and offer a friendly, safety-first working environment, along with other benefits including company pension scheme, generous holidays, cycle to work scheme, employee benefits include, online discount platform, onsite parking and much more.Our people are at the core of our business and what makes Wincanton great.
