Commercial Finance Director

I am keen to speak with Commercial Finance Directors to join a PE backed Enforcement business on a permanent basis. Based in their London office working on a hybrid basis.
The Commercial Finance Director is a strategic leadership role responsible for providing financial leadership and guidance to the Commercial Finance team and is the senior business partner to the Chief Commercial Officer and business unit MD’s. This position requires a seasoned finance professional with exceptional leadership skills, strong commercial acumen, the ability to collaborate closely with operational and commercial bid teams.
You will be responsible for: *
Build and lead a high-performing Commercial Finance team who are focused on supporting the business unit operations. *
Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities. *
Collaborate with commercial bid teams to assess financial viability, pricing strategies, and profitability of potential projects or contracts. *
Provide financial insights and recommendations to enhance competitiveness in bids to support the Group’s ambitious growth plans. *
Participate in contract negotiations both internally and externally, advising on financial terms and ensuring alignment with overall commercial strategy and governance. *
Ensure that financial terms and conditions are well-understood and accepted by all parties. *
Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate various commercial scenarios, pricing structures, and potential opportunities and risks. *
Work closely with bid teams to ensure accurate and realistic financial projections. *
Work closely with CFO and Executive leadership to identify and deliver commercial finance opportunities. *
Develop financial strategies that support long-term growth plans and outcomes. *
Collaborate with cross-functional business unit teams. For commercial bids, collaboration across sales, legal, and operations, to ensure cohesive and integrated commercial bid submissions. *
Communicate financial insights and requirements effectively to non-financial internal and external stakeholders.
You will have the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Proven experience in a senior finance role with a focus on commercial finance and business partnering teams.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Excellent leadership and people management abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of financial strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
Paying circa £130-140k + coomprehensive benefits package.
