About The Role

We are looking for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our company’s Commercial Finance Team. The Commercial Finance Business Partner’s responsibilities include driving commercial pricing activity on bids and projects with robust, competitive and innovative pricing solutions for our contracts, as well as improving understanding of, and improvements to, margins on existing clients.
To succeed as a Commercial Finance Business Partner you should be hardworking and able to work in-dependently and efficiently under pressure.
Key Accountabilities:
Bids & Tenders:
Responsibility for pricing activity on bids & tenders for new business.
Directly partner with Sales & Bidding team to develop Pricing and Bid P&Ls for new business.
Provide appropriate challenge to assumptions and ensure these are adequately documented.
Complete pricing submission documentation for new bids & tenders.
Present cost models & pricing developed for new opportunities to Commercial Finance Director/Board for sign off.
Support effective mobilisation upon winning new business.
Support Head of FP&A in forecasting new business through pipeline analysis.
Existing Client Base:
Work with the Head of FP&A in developing understand of variances between ongoing client profitability and bid profitability.
Work with Account/Ops/Sales teams in ensuring growth opportunities are secured profitably.
Work with Account/Ops/Sales teams in renewals and/or extensions.
Work with the Head of FP&A in client level sales/profitability forecasting.
Work with the Finance Controller to ensure suitable controls in place to prevent missed billing opportunities.
Provide other analysis and insight relating to clients and/or profitability as directed by Commercial Finance Director.
Skills & Qualities and Experience
Previous experience in Commercial Finance or a similar role.
Previous experience in pricing activity or similar.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise.
Ability to challenge positively and debate confidently.
Ability to work openly and collaboratively at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software programs.
