We will retain the honesty, integrity and trust instilled in our brands by our ground-breaking founders as we embark on the next chapter of our success.What will this role achieve?To provide financial governance, analysis and commercial influence in order to build and maintain an optimal portfolio based investment approach to Marketing expenditure. The Marketing Finance Analyst will control and be responsible for the understanding of the efficiency of our DM spend whilst ensuring that we are aligned to our pladis strategy.What will be your key results?The Marketing Finance Analyst is a key business partner to the marketing team, understanding investment allocations and identifying forward looking risks and opportunities versus strategy. The role requires being a critical friend, whilst building strong relationships, challenging plans and communicating outlooks with clarity.Investment Understanding & CommunicationProduce Monthly and Quarterly DM spend analysis and explain variances to budget across UK&IOwn ad hoc reporting related to DM, including requests from pladis GroupLead agility of in year investment allocation alongside Comm Fin DirectorForward Looking Value AddDeliver on-going tracking of Campaign spend and maintain awareness of campaign progress including expense recognition practicesDetermine and communicate DM return on investment working with CMI to produce analysis on DM spend, focusing on both internal and external measuresLead the DM meeting / engagement process, ensuring progress and review meetings are scheduled, agenda issued and actions recordedForecastingLead the 3 Year Plan, AOP and forecast for Direct Marketing, ensuring that complete awareness is achieved at UK Exec level throughout the allocation and planning processesLead the LE process for DM and communicate any forecast over / underspendsReview GRIR and committed spend to achieve full risks and opps understandingGovernance & ComplianceManage the month end process for Direct Marketing across pladis UK&I, including:Ensuring accurate GR, settling any accruals / prepayments neededOwn DM Governance reviews with Marketing Leadership teamLead financial compliance including working with auditors at Year EndCollaboration & CoachingWork with wider Finance to support DM spend alignment with NPD plans (aligned with RGR process)Lead DM training of Brand Managers and Shopper Managers - including DM spend categories, accruals process, completion of trackersWhat do you need for this role?Decision Support roles in FMCGConsistent track record of providing robust and insightful financial analysis, including planning and forecastingValidated Analytical thinking- conceptual/strategicCross functional experienceExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerpointEffective InfluencingStrong CommunicationHighly developed interpretation skills - ability to make financial analysis easily understood and actionableOur winning traits and behavioursPurpose-Led - Energised by our promise to deliver happiness to the world with every biteAgile - Ever evolving, never satisfied and never standing stillCollaborative - Willing to work collectively for mutual successResilient - Quick to adapt to change, fast learner and persistent in the face of setbacksPositive - Self-motivated, optimistic, adventurous, and inspiringDiversity and inclusivity is central to everything we do and is reflected across our business. pladis brings together brands and people from around the world - and this diversity is our great strength.We're an equal opportunities employer and believe in encouraging an inclusive environment where we celebrate diversity of thinking and respect everyone's distinctive qualities and perspectives.We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform key job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
