Our client is a leading provider of innovative power solutions with the aim to revolutionize traditional power generation methods. Due to continued growth, they require a Commercial Director to support the next phase of growth and apply their expertise to the target markets – these include Plant Hire, Power Hire, Event Hire, Film & TV and Construction. Role Overview:As the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, maintaining existing customer relationships, and expanding market share across designated sectors. Your role will involve strategic planning, market analysis, and fostering partnerships to promote the brand and technology offerings.Key Responsibilities:Brand and Product Awareness:Educate and demonstrate our product capabilities to target industries and sectors.Develop strategies to raise brand awareness and highlight our after-sales and manufacturing capabilities.Strategic Planning:Develop and manage sales, pricing, and marketing strategies to achieve revenue targets.Conduct forecasting of sales and fleet utilization on a regular basis.Market Analysis:Conduct market research, trend analysis, and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats.Provide insights on market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.Commercial Proposals:Prepare comprehensive customer proposals, including technical solutions tailored to specific needs.Partnership Exploration:Identify potential technology partnerships to expand our product offerings.Explore opportunities for white label partnerships and cross-hire collaborations.Product Development:Collaborate with the product development team to design rental-spec products that meet market demands.Facilitate communication between market requirements and product development initiatives.Customer Relationship Management:Maintain and support existing customer relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retentionQualifications and Experience: Proven track record of success in commercial roles within the power generation or related industries. Strong understanding of target markets and customer needs. Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills. Effective leadership and team management abilities. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
