Currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Credit Manager to join the team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing and further developing our Group Credit department. If you are passionate about building strong customer relationships, maximising cash collection, and reducing aged debt, then we want to hear from you.
Commercial Credit Manager
Key Duties:
• Support the implementation of new and existing credit processes and procedures across the business.
• Assist in utilising the ERP system to streamline day-to-day processes and enhance efficiency.
• Assess the creditworthiness of potential new and existing customers, determining appropriate credit limits and terms.
• Manage and support the development of a team of 10 credit controllers and account managers. • Overseeing responsibility of the credit control team’s portfolio of debtor accounts, ensuring adherence to company processes, credit and payment terms.
• Setting and monitoring KPI’s to ensure % of aged debt is managed and monthly cash flows are met. • Work closely with the sales team and other commercial departments to ensure smooth order processing and minimise credit risk.
• Oversee the company query management programme to ensure timely resolution of relevant customer complaints and disputes within the credit control team.
• Present aged debtor reports, cash flow forecasting, and other relevant reports to the Group Finance Team and key stakeholders within the business.
The Person The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, be commercially aware, results driven and be able to influence at all levels.
The following criteria is essential:
• A minimum of 3 years’ credit management experience, at a senior management level in a FMCG B2B company.
• Demonstrable commercial experience.
• Graduate with a background in Finance / Credit / Accounting.
• CICM membership.
• Highly numerate, with strong financial analysis ability, advanced Excel and an understanding of managing ERP requirements.
• Proven experience of leading and developing a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to influence key internal and external stakeholders.
The hours of work are Monday – Friday 9.00am-5.30pm
