Client Overview:



Listgrove is supporting a leading recycler and distributor of plastics for remanufacture. The company are proud to have established long term customer and supplier relationships, that are underpinned by an unrivalled understanding of sustainable markets and applications for recycled plastics.

At the businesses’ core, is a passion for the responsible management of plastic waste: they offer a range of expertise, including the sourcing of manufacturing waste, the distribution of recycled compounded pellets and the provision of closed loop recycling services. 



As part of their continual drive for growth and succession planning, the company is seeking a talented commercial professional, with aspirations of becoming a future potential business owner. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate ambition, perseverance and a sharp commercial mindset, as well as strong relationship-building skills. 



The Role:



·    Maintain and develop business with existing customers, as allocated, through appropriate customer contact to identify opportunities.

·    Identify and commercialise New Business Development.

·    Develop and nurture relationships with customers, as well as with other key stakeholders (warehousing, compounders, logistics)

·    Identify and procure plastics from suppliers.

·    Negotiate the sale of plastic raw materials (price, payment terms, logistics, suppliers).

·    Capture relevant market information to anticipate customer requirements and the emerging needs of potential accounts.

·    Follow up on pending orders with the logistics team, as well as on pending invoices and payments.

·    Execute negotiations with regard to pricing and delivery, within boundaries set by the company director.

·    Be responsible for communicating new product development needs/requests/availability, internally and to the customer.



Experience and Skills:  



·    Proven track record within a sales or business development role.

·    Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills.

·    An entrepreneurial individual who is self-motivated and results focused.

·    Flexible nature and ability to communicate at all levels.

·    Knowledge of one of the following markets would be advantageous, such as plastics, distribution, compounding, recycling or packaging.
