BAM Nuttall require a Commercial Assistant to join us in our Kilsyth office in Scotland and support the delivery of our RIIOT2 Projects including Crossaig Substation, Creag Dhubh Substation, Finnstown Substation and to support the team on our EGL2 project which has locations in both Peterhead in Scotland and Wrenhall in England.

Your mission
As a Commercial Assistant, you will be responsible for the following:
Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with Company policy. Be aware and contribute in Your Safety is My Safety" vision.
Assist with the monthly cost and value reconciliation supplying requested information such as material and plant accruals
Input into Assessed Cost Database or similar cost collation tool
Process Subcontractor payments
Bought ledger invoice clearance to agreed payment terms, raising queries with suppliers where necessary
Produce cost monitoring reports
Collate allocation sheets and records
Maintain document filing system
Collate commercial data into regular reports
Analyse collated data and exception reports
Assist in general with commercial functions
Attend meetings and training sessions
Maintain personal diary
Utilise computer software packages for word processing, spread-sheets, graphics and presentations
Ensure compliance and adherence with project and company commercial procedures to follow an agreed process for cost control
Who are we looking for?
GCSE in English and Mathematics
Previous industry experience would be an advantage
To be diligent and motivated
Demonstrate a desire to learn and progress
Show interest to increase your knowledge of the construction industry
Good communication skills
Good attention to detail
Good IT skills
