You'll help to deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.Support the commercial function by providing clerical and administrative duties in accordance with the document management system.Proactively working with the team, updating databases; downloading and manipulating data into spreadsheets, pivot tables and other electronic formats.Assist with the reporting, creating and maintaining registers, trackers and schedules.Responsible for creating and maintaining data in accordance with the approved filing structure and amending, revising, or updating this structure as required, coordinating and recording meetings.What you'll be doingAs a Commercial Administrator, you will have the following accountabilities:Measure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and proceduresReview administrative progress weekly & monthlyPlan commercial activities to meet requirements of the appropriate calendars for the business, project and/or contractual requirements.Measure & interpret specifications & drawingsBuild up estimates from first principle including net and gross estimatesTranslate measurement from drawings and Specifications and help prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of RatesCollation of Cost and Value InformationPreparation of Cost reconciliation statementsProvide the support necessary to inform the procurement & supply chain functionRecord and document information including pre-qualification, registration of interest, tender lists, procurement schedulesCollation of cost and value informationCan logically order & manipulate dataWho we're looking forYou will have the following:Similar experience would be advantageousComputer literate and confident learning new applicationsIndustry appreciationAppreciation of the role of the commercial functionAbility to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team;Achievement focus (Achieving Results)Analytical thinking & decision makingHighly motivated, proactive and practical administratorExcellent interpersonal skillsHonest reliable and professional personWhy work for usDay in, day out, our teams deliver some of the UKs most ambitious, exciting and meaningful projects; developing, building and maintaining the vital infrastructure that supports national economies and strengthens communities.As if contributing to and supporting work that makes life better for millions wasnt rewarding enough, we offer a full range of benefits too.
