Comercial Broker

This company doesn’t often recruit but due to continued growth and success, they urgently require a commercial insurance broker to join their team in Glasgow city centre.
You will provide carefully tailored business insurance
for mid/large market clients.
Reporting directly into the Branch Director you will work with experienced
i
nsurance
professionals and together provide outstanding service to customers.
The
Role:
Control the renewal process for your clients.
Gather information from
c
lients and
p
rospects using superb communication skills.
Maintain and grow your book of business by chasing and securing new business leads.
Openly discuss renewal terms with customers and seek alternatives to discuss with them.
Talk to brokers and gain access to the most competitive terms that meet your clients objectives
.
Visit with clients as appropriate, it’s here that your interpersonal skills will shine.
Assess account queries and credit control matters, resolve efficiently and raise any concerns with the right team.
Identify and act upon new-business opportunities, use sound judgement to recommend them if appropriate.
The person:
Holding/working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications: Cert CII/Dip CII/ACII
preferred.
Technical working knowledge of general commercial lines insurance products and services.
Experience of the UK General Insurance Market, London Market or Lloyd’s Market.
Proficient in MS office, and
Acturis
experience would be advantageous.
Due diligence in administration, policy documents and processes
