As a Team of design professionals we work on a range of exciting projects and products with leading automotive OEMs using the latest software tools and technology. We have an extensive network of designers who already enjoy working with us and we are now looking to grow our team with an exciting opportunity for a Lead CMF Designer .
About the role and what you'll be doing
This is an opportunity to work with a leading design studio and help shape and develop the Colour and Materials role working within an inclusive and supportive culture.
As a Colour and Materials Designer, you’ll research and develop visual concept proposals, providing a unique and innovative perspective to develop and deliver design projects from concept stage through to production.
Research, develop and source colours and materials from concept stage through to production on multiple projects
Collaborate with suppliers , research , develop and introduce innovative materials and finishes
Increase feasibility level of advanced materials at cost effective rates
Communicate design concepts and ideas effectively
Create and produce visual mood boards, digital presentations, material concepts, develop 3D models offering fresh ideas and insights at every stage
Work with key stakeholders to brainstorm concept developments and review

A strong communicator and able to work with cross functional teams to deliver projects
Have strong attention to detail
with the ability to work to deadlines
Confident to challenge ideas in a positive way
Flexible and agile , embracing changes that arise
Skills and Experience required
A university degree in Art & Design or equivalent
Experience of working within a design department in the automotive industry and ideally working with an OEM
Strong project management skills
Experience of delivering C&M for programs from creation through to production
A strong understanding of Vehicle Design and Colour and Materials
Please note you will need a UK passport or have valid settlement status or a visa that does not require sponsorship of any kind for this position.
This role is on a contract basis and is inside IR35, with potential to extend
