They are also committed to your development and are proud to hold the prestigious Gold Investors in People accreditation.What you’ll enjoy:Based out of a Leicester hospital but not working for the NHS you are using your nursing experience but in a more commercial capacity.As an important member of a larger team, you will provide clinical expertise within the specialist area of colorectal cancer and other related colorectal disease.What you’ll be doing:You will be dedicated to a Leicester hospital and your role will involve delivering safe and effective patient-centred services which meet national, regional and local requirements for patients with colorectal cancer and other related colorectal diseases.You will provide clinical expertise as well as supporting the development of the nursing service to achieve person-centred care under the direction of the Colorectal Nurse Manager.You will also ensure the co-ordination of patient care across the clinical pathway in conjunction with the multi-professional team.You will be dealing with colorectal cancer Consultants/specialists and some patients.As an important member of a larger team, you will be comfortable with independence as your day to day activities will be carried out autonomously.What you'll need:Registered Nurse Qualification with current NMC registrationCurrent experience in a general nursing environmentAble to demonstrate an interest in Colorectal or Stoma nursing (or specialist knowledge in the care of the colorectal surgical patient)Excellent communication skills, good networker and rapport builderFlexible to meet patient and service needsAbility to plan, implement and manage own time effectivelyDynamic, forward thinking and able to influence othersDetermination to progress professionally within stoma and/or colorectal nursingBonus points if you have:The ability to develop multi-disciplinary working practicesCan demonstrate evidence of autonomous working practicesThe ability to interrogate data and formulate advice, plans of action and reportsBenefits: 25 days per annum (plus 8 Bank Holidays) rising to 27 after 5 years service, mobile phone and laptop.
