Cnc Setter Operator

GPS are recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator ideally with some programming knowledge. The role is for a Senior CNC Machinist who will be expected to set and operate 3 & 5 axis milling centers using Heidenhain controls who has the ability to operate CNC lathe. The company machine small batches of bespoke high-end components, so we are looking for a proactive individual who has technical ability to read from drawings as well as understanding CNC programming.

Desired Experience/Skills Required

- Proven experience as a CNC Miller, Setter and Operator using Heidenhain controls.

- Experience of working within a low volume batch environment.

- Able to read from drawings and assist programmers.

- Ability to run multiple machines.

- Proactive and a team player.

- Knowledge of Agie Charmilles Die Sinking EDM, EDM wire cut machines using FANUC controls would be advantageous

SolidWorks CAD & Solid CAM is an advantage, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
