CNC programmer/ Permanent / Diss- salary up to £38K per annum depending on experience

Position 1 Recruitment are looking for CNC programmer to join our client engineering, manufacturing site based in Diss. Due to the ongoing growth, they are looking for an experienced CNC programmer to join their friendly engineering team.
CNC programmer will program, set and where necessary operate a range of CNC turning centres, and CNC sliding head lathes to produce parts in primarily brass, stainless steel, and some nylon.
CNC programmer will be mainly using Fanuc controlled systems; other systems such as Siemens and Citizen Windows based controls, are also used on site.
DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES
Create / load program, set machine and present a first off for inspection. Report any production related issues to your supervisor, or line manager.
Carry out first off, in process and last off inspection of components to drawing.
Maintain the efficient operation of the machine by monitoring cutting oil and lubrication levels and keeping the machine free from excessive swarf build up. Report any low stocks of cutting oils, or lubricants to the person(s) responsible.
Ensure that there is sufficient stock of raw material prepared for the machine to manufacture the components as per the works order / production schedule.
Make a positive contribution in maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, tidy and well organised; participation in 5S activities is mandatory and part of the role.
Ensure that all equipment is used correctly and returned to its designated storage area on the completion of a job, in a clean and sound condition.
Carry out any other tasks, that are reasonable and within your capability; as requested by your supervisor, or line manager.
CNC programmer will demonstrate successful track record in CNC programming Turning centres, particularly with Fanuc controlled systems. Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometres, and gauges. CNC programmer will have high precision and accuracy as well as proficiency in understanding and interpreting technical drawings.
This is a permanent full-time position, Monday to Friday 40 hrs per week with early finish on Friday. Our client is offering either alternating shift pattern or standard day shift with hourly rate of £15 to £17 p/h (+ shift allowance) dependant on experience.
