CNC Programmer / Operator

Excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join a well-established company based in Ely

Salary: Up to �50,000 per annum

About The Company

They are a turnkey automation solution provider working in a wide range of industries. They pride themselves on being able to deliver complex systems from concept right the way through to onsite commissioning, with all disciplines covered in house by their ever-growing engineering team.

Due to company growth, they are looking for a CNC programmer to strengthen and increase their manufacturing output.

The ideal candidate will have experience in programming, setting and operating CNC machines, both at the control and using CAM software. The candidate will require an in-depth knowledge of tooling and materials.

Duties:

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts


• Read and interpret engineering drawings and to understand product specifications


• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency


• Manage workload and component output


• Inspect finished pieces for accuracy and quality


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Skills:

• Proficiency in tooling


• Mechanical knowledge


• Experience in material types, their characteristics and cutting parameters


• Familiarity with HAAS control


• Proficiency in CAM software


• Proficiency in programming at control
