Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in CAD/CAM Offline Programming using EDGECAM and the ability to edit programs using Fanuc & Sinumerik controls.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Program CNC 3, 4 & 5 Axis Milling machines online via Fanuc and Sinumerik controls.
  • Program offline via EDGECAM.
  • Set and produce first offs to ensure requirements are met and standards/tolerances are repeatable.
  • Produce machine set-up documentation.
  • Keep abreast of cutting technology, identifying, and developing new processes, and striving for continuous improvement in CNC machining.
  • Liaise with management to ensure program timescales are met or advised of potential difficulties.
  • Help production management in developing and implementing technical solutions to production-related process issues.
  • Liaise with Engineering/Quality departments to ensure Company procedures and quality assurance are maintained.
  • Always maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
  • Support team members with other tasks as needed.
  • Mentor new staff as required.
  • Help create and maintain a safe working environment, observing published Health and Safety procedures.
  • Carry out other reasonable and relevant tasks as required.

Requirements:


  • Experience with CAD/CAM Offline Programming in EDGECAM.
  • Ability to edit programs using Fanuc & Sinumerik controls.
  • Proficiency in programming CNC 3, 4 & 5 Axis Milling machines.
  • Strong understanding of machining standards and tolerances.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management and other departments.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
