CNC Mill/Turn Programmer Setter Operator

An exciting CNC Mill/Turn position has become available in Poole at a precision engineering company.

Job Title:  CNC Mill/Turn Programmer Setter Operator

Shift:  39 Hour working week, Monday - Thursday 

Rate: Up to £18 p/h depending on experience

The Job:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC MILL/TURN Lathe machines with FANUC operating control system to produce turned components to customer drawings and specifications


• Producing offline and online CNC programs. Knowledge and experience of Edgecam software/programming is an advantage but not essential


• Inspection of your own work to drawing and SPC requirements


• General high standard of engineering ability – fully skilled


• Maintain your area to a high standard of 5C/5S

The ideal candidate:

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering


• General high standard of engineering ability – fully skilled


• Working knowledge of Nakamura machines with bar feed is an advantage but not essential


• Adept with FANUC Controls and have solid experience in the aerospace industry.
