Producing precision parts and ensuring metal workpieces meet exact specifications for the highest product quality.

CNC Machinist Key Responsibilities:

  • The CNC Technician will be required to set, adjust, and operate Fanuc controlled CNC machines to perform precision turning & milling operations on small batches ranging from 50-off to 1000-off parts.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
  • Read engineering drawings and understand the specifications and tolerancing.
  • Study sample parts, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of the operations needed to produce products.

CNC Machinist requirements:

  • Formal mechanical and manufacturing engineering qualification (or equivalent) or time-served apprenticeship would be a distinct advantage
  • Previous experience working on Turn / Mill or Mill / Turn Multi-Axis Machines
  • Experience in a similar high precision environment, with proven understanding of CNC machinist responsibilities.
  • Experience machining ferrous and non-ferrous metals including steel, aluminium and brass.
  • Ability to read technical /engineering drawings with a good understanding of tolerancing/geometrical tolerancing.
  • Safety conscious with a good understand of H&S practices and requirements
