Job Advertisement: CNC Setter Operator



Company Overview: Our client, based in High Wycombe, is a leading manufacturer specializing in the production of intricate components for the Oil and Gas sector. As part of their ongoing growth and commitment to quality, they are currently seeking a skilled CNC Turner Setter Operator to join their dynamic small team.



Position: CNC Setter Operator



Location: High Wycombe, United Kingdom



Job Type: Full-time



Responsibilities:




  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including Okuma Millturn machinery, to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Select and install appropriate tooling and fixtures for each job.

  • Experience with multi-axis machining is highly desirable.

  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and adherence to production schedules.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery as needed.

  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve efficiency.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.



Requirements:




  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter Operator, preferably in a manufacturing environment related to the Oil and Gas sector.

  • Understanding of Turning or Milling operations.

  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.

  • Strong understanding of CNC machine operation and tooling setup.

  • Experience with Okuma Millturn machinery is highly desirable.

  • Ideally, experience with multi-axis machining.

  • Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Experience with other systems/machinery will be considered.

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Friday: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm



Business Hours: They are open 63 hours per week with overtime opportunities available.
