Cnc Machine Operator / Setter

Our client is one of the UK’s most established and reputable tier 1 suppliers to the Aerospace industry.

They require an experienced CNC operator / setter to join the team at Stansted, working within the CNC operations to ensure all output meets quality and technical requirements and timelines.

Main responsibilities and duties will include:-

* Where required, program machines in line with technical information provided

* Set up the tooling required to produce parts

* Carry out first offs to ensure parts meet quality and technical requirements specified

* Run product batches to technical requirements

* Check dimensions prior to passing for Inspection.

Desirable Experience:-

* Proven experience in a CNC Setter/Operator role using 3/4/5 axis machines

* Experience of Multi pallet.

* Heidenhain and Mazatrol experience is essential.

* Previous Aerospace experience would be advantageous.

* Must be able to program/set and operate machine

* Ability to read engineering drawings

* Ability to work to tight tolerances

* Ability to use measuring equipment (Vernier callipers, bore micrometres etc.)

* Capable of using equipment for loading heavy billets.

39 hours per week, Monday – Friday
