CMM Operator (Double Days Shift)
Rate: £18.41/hr +14% shift increase for lates
Location: Coventry - Ansty Park - Onsite
Duration: 12 months
Shift Pattern: Double Days

Early : 7am - 3:30pm Mon - Thurs and 7am - 12:30pm Friday

Late: 2pm - 10:15pm Mon - Thurs and 12:45pm - 6:15pm Friday

Night shift also available.

Role Responsibilities

Program / operate CMM equipment and generate reports to ensure the conformance of product in line with drawing requirements.
Operate specialist test and measuring equipment. Also, provide product assurance support services to achieve production requirements and to maintain calibration and quality standards.
Ensure programs and procedures used are the current version/level.
Undertake First Article Inspection in accordance with Quality Procedure (QP) requirements.
Be accountable for the accuracy/quality and correctness of the task performed. Work to eliminate/minimize undetected errors, which could reduce customer confidence and/or the efficiency of the cell's operation.
Develop and maintain good relationships with all contacts. The ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the team's objectives and performance is an important element of the role. Some interfacing with people external to the Company will occur.
Carry out all other tasks necessary in support of the Product and Quality Assurance role that are required to support the business.
Record and process non-conformances using the appropriate databases.
Use of the business system to record entry into stock and able to make stock adjustments.
Interrogate CMM reports and work with team embers to improve quality status

Requirements

Apprentice engineering/CMM programmer/Quality trained
An engineering apprenticeship is desirable, although training will be given.
1 years similar experience in an engineering manufacturing facility.
Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
Ability to operate various inspection and test equipment and be fully conversant with drawing and other documentation standards (e.g. BPs, departmental specific procedures, Engineering Standards etc).
Good computer skills are desirable, as is a knowledge of the computer systems used (SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Q-Pulse etc).
Demonstrable ability to work with minimum supervision.
Good planning, organisational, analytical, interpersonal, decision-making, oral and written communication skills are required.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

SPC trained.
GDT trained.
Able to read and interpret drawings.
IT literate (word, excel, SAP, etc.)
Can use measuring equipment, (Vernier, Micrometer, Go/No GO, Shadow graph, CMM, etc.)
Program CMM.
Interpret drawings and create CMM programs
