Our aim is to make markets work well for consumers, businesses and the economy. Our Markets team examines markets that do not appear to be working well. It uses a range of policy-based solutions to introduce positive changes in the interests of consumers. As an Assistant Director of Markets, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the team's cases and projects, working collaboratively with government departments, regulators, and various stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to shape policies, drive positive changes in markets, and ensure the best outcomes for consumers.Job descriptionWorking at the forefront of our Markets team, you will lead and support work on a range of issues relating to markets. This will include, identifying and developing proposals for new Markets work, assessing the impact of existing and proposed policies and regulations on markets and consumers, providing valuable insights and recommendations.You will also lead or support cross-cutting strategy projects to inform CMA policies and procedures, contributing to the overall direction and strategy of our Markets work.
