Here at Valary Hotels, we have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, commercially minded sales leader looking to take the next step in their career and becoming a Cluster Director of Sales.
This is a fantastic role working with 2 international branded hotels, the Holiday Inn South Normanton M1 J28 and the Delta by Marriott Warwick M40 J15, in total managing over 340 bedrooms and 19 meeting rooms.
The Cluster Director of Sales role is a senior role within the hotels commercial teams, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and is pivotal in driving forwards our performance, exceeding budgets, and growing market share.
Key responsibilities include:
Work closely with the Cluster Revenue Manager to set appropriate commercial strategies which maximise the properties performance.
Assist the Cluster Revenue Manager with weekly forecasting/annual budgeting for corporate market segments.
Submission & ownership of corporate rate negotiation for both LNR and KNR accounts
Create, own, and execute a Sales and Marketing Plan, by segment for each property which delivers the company objectives in tandem with the other key commercial team members.
Researching and prospecting new clients
Managing, maintain and grow market share from existing client base
Visit key clients and agents to represent all properties within the Valary hotels portfolio
Identifying sales opportunities across all revenue outlets
Organise, host, and attend sales events for both clients and agents
Responsible for all market segments and revenue streams
Work with and support the Hotel Sales Office Managers to ensure all enquiries are responded to appropriately and within an acceptable time frame
Support the Hotel Sales Office Managers with converting new bookings and show arounds
Attend and participate in weekly Hotel Commercial Meetings
Attend regular Business Review Meetings with the Executive Team
Produce weekly/monthly sales reports
Analyse reports/data, to understand key trends and opportunities
Implement appropriate promotions to support trough periods
Monitor Competitor activity with local markets
Drive Engagement using all brand led initiatives
Maintain an active presence on social media to promote the hotel

Previous hotel sales experience is essential
Knowledge of local market and recent trends is highly desirable
Previous knowledge of IHG/Hilton systems would be advantageous
