IN SHORTWe are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team and support the management and development of our cloud infrastructure.WHAT WILL YOU DOThe key accountabilities for this role include:You will be responsible for all technical tasks regarding development and maintenance of cloud-based technical servicesThis includes design, consulting, and maintenance of technical cloud infrastructure to support application landscape / enterprise architectureSupport the management of the cloud infrastructure, with special attention to cloud/cyber securityCollaborate with Group IT counterparties to develop best-in-class cloud infrastructure in line with Group standards and policiesSupport projects from a cloud architecture perspective, developing and implementing infrastructure and architecture standardsPlan, design, and size technical cloud-based servicesSupport change management from an infrastructure perspective, and support with cloud service installations, specification, testing and service transitionMonitor and recommend alternative technologiesAssess suitability of technologies and architectures and analyse technical system requirementsUnderstand non-functional requirements and consult on technical fulfilment optionsWHAT WILL YOU BRINGFluent English spoken and writtenProven track record of working collaborativelySolid experience working in IT operations with the ability to evaluate the impact of changes to systems and environmentsComprehensive knowledge and understanding of the IT architecture landscape and interaction of different applicationsSignificant knowledge in test management, change management, incident, and problem managementExpertise in Cloud integration possibilities and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Technical skills include:Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformNetworking: Understanding of cloud networking concepts, VPNs, VPCs, and routingSecurity: Implementation of security best practices in cloud environmentsDatabase Services: Experience with cloud-based databases such as RDS, Azure SQL Database, or Cloud SQLLogging and Monitoring: Familiarity with tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or StackdriverCI/CD: Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOpsDegree level qualification in Information Technologies or equivalent professional experienceABOUT USSecuring Energy for Europe – it’s a simple statement, with a bold ambition.
