Our clients range from global household name brands to rapidly growing digital native start-ups. You will engage throughout the whole project lifecycle, from understanding the business case and requirements through to assisting with the transition to business as usual. You will also coordinate activities with team members to define the most effective solution for the client’s requirements using your knowledge of existing systems, services and capabilities available in the marketplace. Finally, you will bring deep technical expertise in Databricks, acting as a Databricks SME to our clients and internally to the wider Redkite team. To succeed in this role, you should know how to collate data system requirements, how to translate these requirements into a suitable data platform design, and how to articulate the platform design to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences. On a day-to-day basis you’ll be:Acting as a Databricks SME, providing technical platform guidance to clients and data engineers Designing end to end data platform architecture including storage, compute, high availability, scalability and security Leading the overall architecture strategy/design for a complex programme of work Interacting with a range of people, from highly technical software developers to Senior Executive stakeholders. This means the ability to change style/approach is essential. Involved in commercial activities. This could be providing technical insight to RFPs or it could be presenting recommended architectures & approaches in competitive environments RequirementsYou’ll do great here if you have:Databricks technical certifications, ideally Databricks Solution Architect Champion Experience across multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) Experience in commercial environments such as responding to proposals Experience working with GenAI solutions Experience working with Microsoft Fabric Experience working with a software engineering mindset (e.g. Agile development, Git, Jira) Data engineering experience with PySpark
