Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist- Mainstream and Special Schools

Are you a qualified physiotherapist looking for the next step in your career and have a passion for working with school aged children and young people? Are you looking to be a part of a supportive and driven children's physiotherapy team? If so, then this exciting role may be for you! We are excited to advertise this role due to an internal restructure within the children's physiotherapy service which supports our Coventry population from 0-19. This includes supporting our children and young people with SEND and additional needs across the school age population. The postholder will work closely alongside clinical specialists across physiotherapy and occupational therapy. This include early years, respiratory, Advanced practice (including NMP), MSK , Upper limb and splinting and MSK. A comprehensive induction and ongoing support will be given, including both informal and formal teaching on leadership and clinical practice.Main duties of the job
To input into the co-ordination of assessment and intervention for Children and young people in Mainstream and Special School settings
To carry out specialist clinical assessment and management of children and young people's needs and to plan and implement packages of care accordingly.
To support the wider children's physiotherapy team and to be responsible for supervision and mentorship of identified staff. This includes leading on training, competencies and inputting into the development program for new starters.
To take a lead role in identifying potential areas for audit and research and initiate development of research proposals. Ensuring that the service continues to provide an evidence-based service

Recognised Physiotherapy therapy degree or equivalent qualification Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council Post graduate training in Paediatric physiotherapy.
