Northern SuburbsPosition Description: about the position:As the Northern Adelaide Head to Health and Safe Haven Manager you will operate under broad direction and play a pivotal role in the overall leadership, management, and integration of the Northern Adelaide Head to Health Centre and Safe Haven.Along with oversight of these services, a significant responsibility of this role will also involve ensuring effective clinical and operational governance, contract management and reporting, consortium and stakeholder liaison and management as well as integration with the portfolios and Sonder’s suite of mental health, AOD and community services.You will have the opportunity to develop, implement and oversee operations and clinical service delivery, along with assisting in strategic planning to address the future growth and development of mental health services within the Adelaide metropolitan area.
Experience Requirements:• Demonstrated experience working in a leadership role within a mental health and or alcohol and other drug setting, ideally adult Mental Health Services. • Minimum of five (5) years clinical practice in mental health treatment and care, preferably providing therapeutic treatment and/or case management and support • Demonstrated Experience in implementation of Recovery Orientated Services • Demonstrated leadership skillset, formal training preferred. • Strong Clinical background to deal with complex mental health issues across a wide range of services and clients. • Experience in successfully leading/coordinating a team of staff and working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to inspire and facilitate team commitment and cooperation. • Proven track record in building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders. Qualification Requirements:• Allied Health Qualification • Current registration with one of the following bodies is preferred but not essential: o Social Workers – Registered member of the AASW and having AASW Mental Health Accreditation o Psychologists – Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) o Registered Nurses – Registered with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses o Occupational Therapists – Registered with the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists and AHPRA • Relevant Leadership or Management Training is desired • Current Working With Childrens Check (WWCC) or willing to obtain. Learn About the Services:Northern Adelaide Head to HealthNorthern Adelaide Head to Health is a free service offering caring, friendly and helpful support for adults experiencing psychological distress, suicidal thoughts or crisis, in a calm and welcoming environment.Through its team of Mental Health Clinicians and Peer Practitioners Northern Adelaide Head to Heath provides:• Immediate help to reduce distress• Help to safely cope with thoughts of suicide• Help to navigate through a crisis• Support to improve your wellbeing• Help to connect with ongoing support• Support for carers and families of people experiencing distress• Short term structured psychological therapy, counselling and peer coachingSafe HavenSafe Haven is a free afterhours drop in service delivered by specifically trained Peer Practitioners who have their own personal lived experience of mental health challenges.Guests can choose what works best for them:• Talk to one of the Peer Practitioners• Grab a drink e.g. tea/coffee• Read a book, listen to music, play games or just relax• Access safety planning and recovery planning• Get connections to other services for ongoing supportHow to apply:Applicants are requested to send a cover letter and resume to Sonder via our careers portal on our website.Feel free to send any enquiries to ##### Applications close on 15/05/#####
