Clinical Scientist - BioinformaticianBand 7Job overviewWe are looking to recruit 1 x Band 7 HCPC-registered (or soon to be registered) Clinical Scientist - Bioinformatician to work within the North East and Yorkshire Genomic Laboratory Hub (NE&Y GLH) bioinformatics team.A breakdown of the position available is given below:1 x permanent post based at Sheffield (Sheffield Diagnostic Genetics Service at Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust)Applications from final year Scientist Training Programme (STP) trainees in Clinical Bioinformatics and registered Healthcare/Clinical Scientists from other relevant disciplines are welcomed.For those candidates who are not yet registered, they will be expected to work towards HCPC registration and would be appointed on a salary band appropriate for their experience.Main duties of the jobThe role responsibilities include:To provide highly specialised bioinformatics expertise to support the diagnostic platforms being used within NE&Y GLH.
