Job Description

Currently we have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a registered clinical psychologist to join our clients tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) facility offering specialised, intensive inpatient care and support to children and young people with severe, enduring, and complex mental health conditions.

The hospital is part of the wider ACG Mental Health Network and a key partner in the West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative, led by Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

Salary: Up to £56,250

Position: Clinical Psychologist

Hours: Full Time (can be flexible

Setting: CAMHS

Location: Stafford, ST19

Key Responsibilities:

  • Keeping people safe from harm and protecting their human rights
  • Complete assessment and clinical formulation of patients' problem behaviours and treatment needs
  • Provide evidence based individual and group treatment programmes to address or reduce the negative impact of difficulties
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes
  • Direct and support others to carryout evidence-based clinical psychology interventions
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring that appropriate security procedures are adhered to at all times and that risks are continuously assessed and managed
  • Maintain CPD of an HCPC Registered Practitioner Clinical Psychologist and to ensure competence in relation to the administration and scoring to psychological assessments and risk assessments
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, and carers

For this role, we're looking for someone who is:

  • HCPC registration
  • BPS membership
  • Previous experience within a CAMHS setting
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
