Clinical Psychologist - Adult Neuro Rehab

Job Description

Currently we have an excellent permanent job opportunity for a registered clinical psychologist to join work across Northampton sites providing rehab and residential services for up to 37 adults.

Site 1 is a male only service supporting those with associated past or present drug and alcohol addictions, alongside additional diagnosis of neurological conditions.

Site 2 has 17 bedrooms, four of which form a transitional living unit for those who are ready for more independent living.

Site 3 offers a pathway from post-acute rehab to specialist community-based transitional rehab.

Site 4 is a female only service providing specialist community-based transitional neurological rehabilitation services for those who are not quite ready for supported living

Salary: Up to £40,000

Position: Clinical Psychologist

Hours: Part Time, 30hrs

Setting: Neuro Rehab Adults

Location: Northampton

Key Responsibilities:

• Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights
• Complete assessment and clinical formulation of patients' presentation and treatment needs
• Provide evidence based individual and group treatment programmes to address or reduce the negative impact of the patients' presentation, with an emphasis on multidisciplinary working to achieve the best outcomes
• Evaluate the effectiveness of individual and group treatment programmes
• Direct and support others to carry out evidence-based psychological interventions
• Take personal responsibility for ensuring that appropriate security procedures are always adhered to and that risks are continuously assessed and managed
• Maintain CPD of an HCPC Registered Practitioner Clinical Psychologist and to ensure competence in relation to the administration and scoring to psychological assessments and risk assessments
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, and carers

For this role, we're looking for someone who has;

• HCPC registration
• BPS registration
• Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
