About the service: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a highly reputable private hospital based just north of Watford in between St Albans and Welwyn Garden City. The hospital specialises a range of clinical disciplines, including orthopaedics. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to work delivering a comprehensive pharmacy service and working as part of a friendly team. The role will involve interacting with patients across various departments and is a great way to expand upon your skills.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be working as a Clinical Pharmacist and responsible for the following;
- Provide advice and support to consultants, nurses and other clinicians
- Support the pharmacy department to deliver an excellent medicine management service to all customers
- Supervising the procurement, preparation and dispensing and distribution of medicines
- Facilitate the daily running of the pharmacy department
- Ensuring safe, appropriate and cost-effective us of medicines throughout the hospital
- Build strong working relationships with consultants and colleagues working to improve patient outcomes
- Plan and deliver pharmaceutical care to meet patients health and well- being
- Treating every patient with empathy and compassion
Who we're looking for
- Pharmacy degree
- GPHC registration with no restrictions
- Eligibility to live and work in the UK
- At least 2 years UK experience working as a Clinical Pharmacist
- Clinical pharmacy experience in a secondary acute setting
- Postgraduate Diploma relevant to hospital pharmacy practice desirable
- Excellent communication skills
