We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with outstanding communication skills to work within the Melanoma Team. We provide a supportive environment in which you will be able to develop your knowledge and skills in dealing with patients affected by Melanoma. We work closely with patients and there families to ensure that they receive the correct advice and support in a timely manner. We need an individual that is an excellent clinician, can problem solve and is confident in decision making.Main duties of the job
Attendance /preparation of clinics Dealing with patient queries and providing education Awareness of when to escalate the deteriorating patient appropriately Advocacy within MDTs Liaison with Community agencies re: patient care Communicating with wider team re: patient concerns/Issues Providing education and support to other health care professionals

The post holder will work as an important member of the Multidisciplinary Team within University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, across the community. They will utilize skills of clinical expertise, education and management to ensure a seamless service for patients, carers and staff. They will provide specialist nursing advice, support and information to patients (in-patient and out-patient), receiving Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatment for Melanoma in BHOC. Under the guidance of the B7 Melanoma CNS, the post holder will play an active role in the management of Melanoma patients and will be pivotal in delivering specialist care to patients receiving immunotherapy and targeted therapy in this rapidly expanding and exciting area. There will be an expectation that the post holder will also work alongside the non-melanoma skin cancer team providing resilience to the service. They will work closely with the multidisciplinary team in hospital and the community to ensure a co-ordinated quality service and will be actively involved in education, audit and research. The post holder will engage and lead discussions in multidisciplinary team meetings, acting as an advocate for patients and their carers.
