We are now looking to recruit a Climate Change Specialist to lead this challenging agenda. This post sits within the Strategy and Policy team, who are developing a new local plan and working with the East Kent authorities to produce a new design code for the district. You will be able to provide expert advice to directors, officers, members and stakeholders on climate change and carbon reduction issues and mitigation measures. And critically you will have interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with stakeholders, to secure funding for climate change projects and deliver district-wide carbon reduction initiatives, and to raise awareness of climate change issues and encourage behavioural changes to reduce emissions.
