Are you passionate about combating climate change? Do you want to make a positive impact on the environment and engage our communities in building a sustainable future? The Forest of Dean District Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join them as a Climate Change Community Programme Advisor.
As Climate Change Community Programme Advisor, you will play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the Council's Climate Emergency Strategy and Action Plan in the District. You will promote, facilitate and support action and investment in a low carbon, climate resilient, circular economy and society, advising and linking local communities and organisations to grants, schemes, initiatives and other means of facilitating change.
Providing support to the Forest of Dean Climate Action Partnership (FODCAP), you will promote partnership working and help enable collaborative action, with a focus on supporting engagement at a strategic level. Supporting town and parish councils in addressing climate change through their plans and investments, will be an important part of the role.
