Our core client base consists of Accountancy Practices ranging from Big 4, Top 10 & Mid-Tier firms through to independent regional firms and sole traders.Do you want to develop your career in an established accountancy and advisory practice with regular Involvement in networking and business development?Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a modern and forward-thinking firm of accountants in St Albans who are looking for a professional and personable Client Portfolio Manager to join their growing teamThe successful individual will have responsibility for a full portfolio of SME general practice clients and will take full responsibility for client requirements.You will be commercial and proactive in fee development and regularly attend networking and BDevents/functions.The client base is made up of a range of SME’s and includes, manufacturers, a wide range of professional service firms, IT developers, property investors and developers, hospitality businessesand not for profit entities. You will be in direct contact with clients face-to-face, over the phone/video meetings and by email, and so excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.The successful candidate will ideally be ACA/ACCA Fully Qualified with 3+ years post qualification experience, have previous management experience and a commercial and proactive approach to client developmentThe firm can offer a competitive benefits package including hybrid home working , minimum 25 days holiday, and a good platform to progress into senior management.Duties & Responsibilities:Effectively control own portfolio including everything from staff planning, management ofWIP and billingBuild and further develop client relationships with existing and new clients.Display a strong commercial awareness in fee developmentPresent for partner review, complete files to a high standard.Act as the main point of contact for compliance queries from clients within portfolioQuote and estimate fees within your level of authority.Meeting clients to pitch and tender for new work and putting together associateddocumentsBusiness development – attend new client meetings and networking events.Good awareness of cloud-based accounting techniques and systemsFor further information on this role please contact Jack Wyatt at Clark Wood – ##### / 07880 255933If this specific vacancy is not quite what you are looking for please contact us to investigate alternatives; you can send your CV to this job or contact us directly.
