Assistant Manager/Client Manager within a modernised and forward thinking accountancy practice based in Central London. A practice who pride themselves on their passion and technology, always being innovative to unlock the full potential of its clients

They are looking for someone to work closely with one of the main partners in an assistant manager type position, overseeing large amounts of operations within the practice, and managing a client portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital part in the growth of this practice

Assistant Manager Position Overview

Client Account Management:

Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounting and audit services.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for client queries and concerns.

Conduct client meetings to discuss financial statements, audit findings, and other relevant matters.

Accounting:

Prepare and review statutory accounts and management accounts for clients in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

Perform financial analysis and provide insightful recommendations to clients.

Team Supervision and Development:

Supervise, mentor, and train junior accountants and audit staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Review the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback and ensuring high-quality output.

Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of team members.

Quality Control and Compliance:

Ensure all accounting and audit work complies with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Participate in internal quality control reviews and implement improvements as necessary.

Maintain accurate and organized working papers and audit files.

Operational Support:

Support the management team in the day-to-day operations of the practice, including resource planning and workflow management.

Assist in the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Contribute to business development activities, including identifying new service opportunities and supporting marketing initiatives.

Professional Development:

Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing standards, regulations, and best practices to provide informed advice to clients and staff.

Pursue continuous professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Assistant Manager Position Requirements

  • AAT qualified, part ACCA qualified, ACCA qualified
  • Previous accountancy practice experience and training is essential
  • UK citizen
  • Commutable distance
  • Confident, experienced, intelligent, organised, and communication skills are required

  • Depends on experience can range from �40-70k depending on qualifications and experience
