Pay Scale: Grade 2 – SCP3
Salary: FTE £22,737 pro rata to hours worked (£11.79 per hour) (pay award pending)
Maximum of 52 hours per year for 15 meetings
Start Date - ASAP
The Governors are seeking to appoint a Clerk to provide administration support for all Governor meetings.
This is an exciting opportunity to help drive forward school improvement by making a significant contribution to effective governance.
As Clerk to Governors you will responsible for the co-ordination and of the distribution of papers, meeting invites and taking minutes of the meetings. The clerk, fully supported by School Governor Services, will be responsible for advising the governing body about constitutional matters, duties and powers within the current legislative framework. All clerks will be trained to a nationally accredited level.
The nature of the work requires flexibility with most governing boards meeting in the evening.
The role of clerk to the governing body will suit someone with excellent organizational skills, who is used to working to deadlines, has good listening, oral and literacy skills and previous experience of accurate minute taking.
