Clerk of Works

An opportunity has arisen for a Clerk of Works/Site Supervisor (client-side) with experience in Highways and Public Realm construction to join a client in London. You will be a key part of the team involved in a large highway infrastructure project and your main duties include overseeing all construction activities on site, undertaking regular inspections of materials, workmanship and construction processes as well as monitoring the progress against timescales and ensuring the schemes are delivered within budget and on time.  
This is a full-time contract position. The rate on offer is £350 - £375 per day - negotiable for the right candidate.  Flexible working arrangements/working from home opportunities are available.
Working within the Highways team your main duties include:
·Overseeing all construction activities on site and undertaking regular quality monitoring inspections
·Checking the design and build contractor programmes and schedules of work
·Monitoring the contractor's progress against timescales and providing progress reports on costs and budgets
·Ensuring all schemes are delivered on time and in adherence to project plans and specifications
