Clerk of Works
 
Our client is looking for a Clerk of Works to join their expanding team in Haringey.
 
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Clerk of Works to support the implementation of a range of traffic and parking schemes.
 
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of highways, traffic and transport-related legislation, as well as detailed technical knowledge and experience in the supervision of works.
 
Responsibilities of the role:
·To assist in the management and administration of construction works in accordance with the Council's contracts.
·To assist with the implementation of the construction phase plan
·Assist in the management and control of all site operations
·To ensure the contractor's compliance with health and safety legislation including carrying out regular health and safety checks.
·Assist in the recording of all works carried out
·To liaise and work with all engineering staff
·To adhere to all council procedures relating to project work
·To develop constructive relationships and effective communications with key people
Requirements of the role:
·An understanding of highway, traffic management and public safety legislation
·Detailed technical knowledge of highway relation construction in an urban environment.  
·Experience in the various forms of public consultant techniques.
·Experience in technical report preparation.
·A record of successful and consistent delivery of highways or traffic projects
·An appropriate qualification and relevant experience in highways engineering construction
