Role: Area Chef/Cleaning Supervisor

Location: Essex/Suffolk
Salary: £28,000 (per annum comes with company van and fuel card)

Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a contract cleaning company in the Essex and Suffolk areas, and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Chef/Cleaning Supervisor to join their team.

What's involved?

• To supervise a team of chefs who will cook high quality food for serving to our customers in line with company standards and professional training.
• To cover chefs' absence where required and ensuring high standards of hygiene, quality, presentation, and timeliness.
• To Supervise a team of Cleaners who will work at Approved Premises and Offices, to cover annual leave and absence.
• To Supervise and lead catering/ cleaning activities under the direction of the Catering Manager or Area Manager
• To Cover chefs and Cleaners, absent through sickness, annual leave, and vacancy.
• To ensure food service provision is carried out in accordance with all aspects of the OCS Food Safety manual & management systems and any relevant legislation.
• To ensure all food is produced on time to the required quality standards.
• To assist the Catering Manager in planning menus and food provision in the most efficient manner, considering any equipment, cross contamination, or allergen constraints.
• To ensure catering service effectiveness, ensuring waste is minimised, and recorded correctly within agreed limits.
• To be involved in developing and implementation of new ideas for our service, reducing cost on our supplies and sustainability.
• To organise the ordering of food, cleaning materials as and when required.
• To carry out Stocktakes at the end of each month and making sure that they have been recorded correctly.
• To ensure that all incoming deliveries at sites are in accordance with company policy and recorded.
• To Carry out any specific food service and Cleaning task as required.
• To oversee compliance with, but not limited to meals policy, portion sizes and marketing plans.
• At times there will be a requirement that you may be required to cover sites in other clusters with further travelling required.
