CLASS 1 DRIVER

If you are a Class 1 Driver looking for part time shifts (2 / 3 per week) or are struggling to get a full weeks work with your current agency, then we have the role for you.

Our client is based in Preston and is looking for Class 1 Drivers who can work 2 / 3 shifts per week. This will suit Class 1 Drivers who can work days or nights, with the client being operational Monday through to Sunday.

The role is pallet work, with around 1 / 3 drops per shift (pallets are taken off using the other companies FLT), working around 10 / 12 hours. You will be working on curtain sided trailers. The Class 1 Drivers will need to have held their licence for 2 x years, due to the companies insurance requirements.

Prior to starting, the Class 1 Drivers will need to complete the companies induction forms, so you are ready to work for them.

Key details about the job:

• Ad Hoc Shifts – 2 / 3 per week
• Days & Nights available (Monday through to Sunday)
• Curtain Sided Trailers
• Around 10 / 12 hours per shift

Pay details: 
Monday to Friday Days - £17.25 assignment rate
Monday to Friday Nights – £18.25 assignment rate
Saturday All Hours - £18.90 assignment rate
Sunday All Hours - £19.80 assignment rate

Requirements:

• Need to have held your Class 1 HGV licence for at least 2 x years (with experience)
• In-date CPC and Digi Tacho Card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no IN DR or DD codes) for insurance purposes
• Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
• A good, professional attitude
