Ignition Driver Recruitment is actively seeking qualified Class 1 Drivers in Northampton, to work for one of the UK's leading supermarket chains.
To be considered for this role, you must have a full and valid Class 1 licence with 6 months' experience, and you will also need your DCPC and Digi Tacho card. 
Responsibilities & Duties for HGV Class 1 Drivers: 

• Driving a Class 1 vehicle
• Delivering chilled & ambient goods to different stores 
• Cage & Pallet work (you will need to pull the cages & pallets onto the tail lift and the store will take them off for you)
• Routine vehicle checks pre and post-shift

The Shift times & working hours of an HGV Class 1 Driver:

• Average shift length: 10-hour shifts
• Different start times (24-hour operation) 
  • 19:00 - 00:00
• 7-day operation - plenty of shifts available but rota will include Sunday, Monday and Tuesday

What do we need from you to be an HGV Class 1 Driver?

• Full Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E) with 6 months experience
• Our client will accept up to 6 points on your licence, but no DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements
• Digi Tachograph & DCPC Card required
• Drug & Alcohol test 
• Completion of a Driving Assessment
